SolidWorks Support Tools

Along with our technical support help line, SolidWorks also provide the means to help answer your questions, these are listed below:

  • If you have general questions about SolidWorks then you can review the SolidWorks Troubleshooter on the SolidWorks web site regarding hardware or graphics cards
  • The SolidWorks help file is very comprehensive and you should carry out a search on that first
  • Another means of answering your question is the SolidWorks knowledge base, where you can query the database of common problems and fixes issued by SolidWorks
  • If you want to suggest an enhancement to SolidWorks then this can be done through the SolidWorks enhancement request form on the corporate web site
  • The quality and performance of SolidWorks graphics depends to some extent on the choice of graphics adapter and driver version. To help you avoid known graphics adapter and driver version specific problems, SolidWorks has tested several commonly used graphics adapters and driver combinations. Night Schools

CADVenture's Night School sessions are held on the third Thursday of the month from 6-8pm. Our certified technical team hosts these interactive sessions aimed at providing information to enhance your skills and develop advanced techniques with your manufacturing tools. We typically provide solutions to questions regarding SolidWorks and introduce engineering strategies to better meet your needs. Topics are customer driven. We explore topics that we see come up often in our daily technical support requests as well as allowing the customer a chance to vote on the topic of the month. These sessions are available exclusively to our customers current on SolidWorks subscription service.

Tech-Talk

Tech Talks are 1 hour, one-on-one support sessions available by appointment Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm for all customers current on SolidWorks subscription service. These sessions allow you to go over any issues you may be experiencing with one of our application engineers. Perhaps you have design issues unique to your industry. Tech-Talks provide a great opportunity to bring in your files and work on them with the application engineer to resolve any design issues or to learn better practices. This is also a great time to have some general user questions answered. If travel is a problem, consider the remote option. With a high-speed internet connection and phone line, you can have an online meeting with an application engineer but remain in your location. The application engineer can view the files that you are working on and go over them with you using the Go To Assist option.
